She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Henry Pickens and Mary Eugenia; her husband Jack Vern Brindley, Sr.; and her siblings, Harry Busch, Karl Busch, Bill Busch, Harold Busch, Thomas Pickens and Janet Bargar.

She is survived by: her children, Jack V. Brindley, Jr. (Pam) of Dennison, Brenda M. Long of Miami, Robert F. Brindley (Lisa) of New Philadelphia, Richard A. Brindley (Beth) of Ashland, Jeffrey M. Brindley (Kathy) of Dennison and Susan M. Burdette (Randy) of Dennison; her sister Donna; and her brother-in-law Ronald Ross of Dennison. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Rita's memory are encouraged to do so by a donation to Immaculate Conception Church.
