He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Hoopingarner and Elmira Hoopingarner (Brandt); his brother Larry Hoopingarner; and his niece Tammy Woods. He is survived by: his wife Sue (Staley); his children, Vicky Carver, Ron Jr. Hoopingarner (Kim), Gary Hoopingarner, Shelly Brett (Chuck), Doug Kreinbihl (Cecelia) and Angie Burton; his grandchildren, Josh, Jessica, Heather of Shannon, DJ, Marc, Gary Jr., Allison, Rachel, April Angel, Brandon, Derek (Cait), Sonni (Ryan) and Amber (Alex); his sister Lucille Hoopingarner; his nephews, David Hoopingarner (Mindy), Larry Steiner (Janice) and Woody Hoopingarner; his niece Tina Yinger (George); his close friends, Bob Colvin, Ezzi Maculatis, Larry Browning, Ray Miles, Bob Burdette, Buck Cottrell and John Chapman; Terri and Brian.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Uhrich - Hostettler English Funeral Home (634 N Water St, Uhrichsville, OH 44683). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
