We bid farewell to Marilyn A. Basselman (Deshler, Ohio), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 22, 2025 at the age of 90. Marilyn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Meyer and Pauline Meyer; her husband Alfred Basselman; and her brother Elwood Meyer. She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Carr (Archie), Debra Dennie (Steve) and Patricia Wray (Lance); and her grandchildren, Kimberly Lynch (Mike), Jennifer Disbro (Adam), Nicole Carter (Nate), Ben Dennie (Christy), Timothy Dennie (Andrea), Samantha Dorsey (Jon), Roxanne Johnson and Erik Johnson. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (23 State Rte 65, Deshler, OH 43516).
The family suggests memorials to St John Lutheran Church, Putnam County Hospice, or the Corn City Fire District.
