Shirley Meyer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Meyer of Deshler, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 21, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Guelde and Johanna Guelde (Von Seggern); and her brothers, Gary Guelde and Terry Guelde. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Meyer; her children, Beth Laipple (Don), Bradley Meyer (Kathy), Curt Meyer (Lauren), Jeff Meyer (Tina) and Elizabeth "Betsy" Coffield; her grandchildren, Emily Routt (Stefan), Molly Miller (Sean), Brian Laipple (Krystal), Leah Moreland (Matthew), Hali Diaz (Chris), Zachary Meyer (Erin), Sarah Meyer, Cody Meyer (Brittany) and Lindsey Meyer; her great grandchildren, Oliver, Linley, Davis, Ryan, Brooke, Cameron, Nolan, Sawyer, Isaac, Davie Jane, Elowyn, Eleanor, Everett, Elijah, Ezekiel and Dakota; and her siblings, Herman Guelde (Jean), Eugene Guelde (Glenda), Jim Guelde (Donna) and Gerry Imbrock.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church (5039 Co Rd G, Deshler, OH 43516). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorials to Peace Lutheran Church and Hamler Library.
