He is survived by: his wife Anita Shiffert (Heckerman); his son Allen Shiffert (Coleen); his grandchildren, Nick Lojewski, Gavin Lojewski, Christiana Lojewski, Shelby Hillard, Ashley Shiffert and Allen Shiffert, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Leonard Heckerman, John Heckerman (Joan), Ted Heckerman (Heather Wildman), Leanna Young and Laurel McCullough (Fred).
