We announce the death of Barbara J. Birtcher of Dover, Ohio, who passed away on July 17, 2026, at the age of 84. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred "Sharkey" Kaltenbaugh and Jane Burrell Kaltenbaugh; her husband James Birtcher; her son Marc Birtcher; and her brother Tim Kaltenbaugh.
She is survived by: her son Kris Birtcher (Tanja) of Georgia; her siblings, Cherryll Murphy of Strasburg, Patti Fearon of Strasburg, Jill Herman (Bob) of Dover and Barry Kaltenbaugh of Seattle; her grandchildren, Lauren Birtcher, Kellie Reece (Patrick), Jack Birtcher (Amanda), Lexi Birtcher (Cole Boyles), Eian Birtcher (Brandi), Alec Birtcher (Beki) and Adam Birtcher (Sydney); and her friends, Linda Concotto and Judy Michener. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
