David N. Trustdorf Obituary

We announce the death of David N. Trustdorf of Dover, Ohio, who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 79. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Trustdorf (Austrich) and Robert Trustdorf; his brothers, Steven and Richard Trustdorf; and his brother-in-law Dwight Smith.

He is survived by: his siblings, Allan Trustdorf (Cathy) of Tennessee and Gail Smith of Maryland; his nieces, Stephanie Wellman (Matt Dummermuth), Staci Abel (Todd) and Mia Trustdorf (Corin Usinski); his nephew Richard Trustdorf (Katelyn); his great-nephews, Alex Bowman (Chloe), Steven Wellman (Payton Zumbar) and Zane Conner (Ava Herzig); Mavrick and J. D. Bowman.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Ohio's Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia for the excellent care and comfort they provided David in his final days, and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory.
