He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis E. Straub and Minnie M. Straub (Kaserman); his spouse Jean Baker; his sons, Rick Straub and Greg Straub; and his brothers, Glenn Straub and Lloyd Straub.

He is survived by: his daughter Beth Cadle of Dover; his grandchildren, John Cadle, Daniel Cadle (Kara), Bryan Straub (Jeremy Dineen), Melissa Burrell (Andrew), Justin Straub (Janelle) and Kristin Straub; his great grandchildren, Lilli, Greyson Cadle and Brody Burrell; his daughter-in-law Cathy Straub; and his sister-in-law Donna Baker.
