He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Red" Mercer and Beatrice Miller Mercer. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Weigand Mercer; his children, Jason Mercer (Phylicia Stutler) and Michelle Mercer (Sam Shorb); and his friend Tom. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
