He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Kohl and Ora Kohl (Edwards); his siblings, Harold Kohl (Evy), Kenneth Kohl (Betty Lou), Edward Kohl (Clara Jane) and Erma Struchen (Ira); his nieces, Joan Roth and Bonnie Gribble; and his nephew Dave Struchen.
He is survived by: his wife Bette Kohl (Dummermuth); his daughter Kimberly Roper (Kohl); his son-in-law Jim Roper of Worthington, Ohio; his grandsons, Drew Roper (Catherine) of Houston and Matt Roper (Andrea) of Columbus; and his great grandchildren, Ellie, Theo and Bea Roper.
