He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Hoffman; his sons, James Smith and Thomas Smith; his grandchildren, Julia, Shyla, Tara and Brayden; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Ava and Charlotte; and his siblings-in-law, Butch Ackerman (Mary Kay), Rick Ackerman (Sharon), Terry Ackerman (Lori), Donna Ackerman and Sandy Klika. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
