Thomas G. Marshall Obituary

Thomas G. Marshall, 80, of Dover passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Ohio's Hospice Truman House.

He was born on July 6, 1943, in Gipsy, Pennsylvania, to the late Clyde and Ruth Gromley Marshall. Thomas was also preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl K. Marshall on April 14, 2018; son, Jon K. Marshall, and brother, James Marshall.

Thomas was a proud alumn of Purchase Line High School, graduating in the class of 1961. He had a fulfilling career and retired from Belden Brick Company in Sugarcreek after 18 years of loyal service. Thomas had a deep commitment to his faith community as a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover. In his leisure time, he found joy in being active with the Boy Scouts of America. His dedication led him to achieve the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout with two Palms, a testament to his determination and leadership qualities. He also enjoyed playing bingo at the Senior Center, especially with his "bingo ladies.".

Thomas will be deeply missed by his surviving family, including his beloved daughter Lee Ann (Dale) Miller of Strasburg; grandchildren, Ellie and Mark Miller; brothers, Chris (Nancy) Marshall and Kenn (Colleen) Marshall both of Pennsylvania, as well as his aunt Velma Lockard of Buffalo; numerous cousins; and his dog, Lily.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 24th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with his brother, Pastor Chris Marshall officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice Truman House at 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
