He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed and Shirley Hostetler (Baumgardner); his son Jeremy Gintz; his father-in-law David A. Thompson; and his siblings-in-law, Scott Thompson and Chris Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gintz; his sons, Joshua Gintz (Kelly) of Dover and Jordan Gintz (Andrea) of Dover; his grandchildren, Sailor Grey and Hunter Allen Gintz; his siblings, Mike Hostetler (Jennifer) of Grove City, Pennsylvania and Kris Smith (Steve) of Lebanon, Ohio; and his mother-in-law Shirley Thompson of Dover. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory (803 N Wooster Ave, Dover, OH 44622). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
