She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Bachman and Frances Bachman (Lepley); her husband Roy J. "Jim" Barnes; her grandson Levi Johnson; her brother Elwin Bachman (Carol); and her brothers-in-law, Brian Smith and Lawrence "Larry" Hagenbaugh.
She is survived by: her children, Carla Johnson (Bruce) of Norton and Brian Barnes (Christine) of Medina; her sister Iva Smith of Petersburg, IN; and her siblings-in-law, David K. Barnes of Newton Falls, OH and Corrine Hagenbaugh of Doylestown. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
