She was predeceased by: her parents, Romie Burgess and Florence Burgess (Pickens); her husband Willie "Frank" Smith; and her daughter Alesha "Lisa" Smith. She is survived by: her children, Vicki Knotts (Robert) of Doylestown, Mary Hout (Timothy) of Doylestown, Cynthia Mitchell of Wooster and James Smith (Gina) of Smithville; her grandchildren, Joseph Mitchell, Jessica Smith, Krista Reed, Rachel Head, Michael Hanna, Adam Smith, Austin Smith, Katie Workman, Crystal Middleton, Alissa Myers, Josh Hout, Brittany Hout, Marissa Reed and Chris Knotts; and her sister Doris Moore of Ravenswood, WV. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
