John H. Kitts Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John H. Kitts of Dresden, Ohio, who passed away on August 7, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Reeford Kitts and Mary Akers Kitts; and his brother Larry Kitts. He is survived by: his wife Jan E. Bates; his son John Scott Kitts of Portersville; his stepson Dane Cubbison (Kelley) of Dresden; his brothers-in-law, Scott Bates (Robin) of Dresden, Mike Bates of Springfield and Jon Bates (Deb) of Frazeysburgh; his sister Susie Denton of Beverly; and his sister-in-law Charolette Kitts of Beverly.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Matheney Funeral Home (165 N Kennebec Ave, McConnelsville, OH 43756). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
