It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Goetz of Dresden, Ohio, who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard L. Goetz to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis G. Goetz and Margaret A. Goetz (Keyes); his stepson Jeremy Brennen; his siblings, Robert L. Goetz, Martha Nethers and Mary Ann Winsor; his siblings-in-law, Charles Winsor and Anna Priest; and his uncles, Harold Keyes and Robert Keyes (Hazel).
He is survived by: his close friend Mick Davis; his wife Judy A. Goetz (Priest); his children, Robert Goetz of Dresden and Tracy Goetz Watson (Darryl) of Dresden; his stepchildren, Jerod Brennen (Cori) and Jessica Waller (Alan); his stepdaughter-in-law Stephanie Christman (Devin); his grandchildren, Craig Louis Goetz Huey, Beth Brennen, Joel Brennen (Riley), Sammie Brennen, Kyler, Cooper Brennen, Kaylynn, Ali, Hailey and Aydan Wallar; his brother-in-law Carl Nethers; his cousin Jane Ellen Wiles (Mike); his nephew Scott Winsor (Lisa); his godson Kyle Scurlock (Stacy); and his close friends, Ron Scurlock and Mick Archer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home (714 Main St, Dresden, OH 43821). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
