He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman C. Roettger and Emma A. Roettger; his brother Norman C. Roettger, Jr.; his in-laws, Frank and Vera Blackburn; his brother-in-law Alan Blackburn; and his nephew Michael Blackburn.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his daughters, Beth Honeycutt of Dublin and Nancy Carter (Terry) of Dublin, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Madison Wheeler (Brian), Bailey Honeycutt, Jackson Carter and Cole Carter. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Seeley Funeral Home (5591 US-68, West Liberty, OH 43357). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John's name to the Franklin County Humane Society or OhioHealth Hospice House.
