He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Zack Bracken; and his parents, Samuel Joseph Bracken and Zola Hedrick Bracken of Fairmont, W. V.. He is survived by: his children, Susan Redder (Anthony) of Powell, Sam Bracken, III (Melissa Ingram) of LaGrange and Tom Bracken (Karen Sauder) of Wheeling, WV; his grandchildren, Tommy Bracken, Jr. (Kiarah Vinka) of Wheeling, WV, Lillian and Conor Redder of Powell; his sister Elizabeth Bracken Hiner; his niece Christine Harmon (David); his great-niece Brianna Harmon; his nephew Oliver Hiner (Colleen); his great-nephew Samuel; and his great-niece Madeline Hiner.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rutherford Funeral Home (450 W Olentangy St, Powell, OH 43065). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (10700 Liberty Rd, Powell, OH 43065). A burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (1685 National Rd, Wheeling, WV 26003).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph Health & Wellness Foundation, 137 Mt. St. Joseph Rd., Wheeling, WV 26003.
