He was predeceased by : his parents, Harl Chesser and Fern Chesser (Doolittle); his wife Judith Chesser (Gutridge); his brother Conrad Chesser; and his brother-in-law Don Walker.

He is survived by : his children, Mark Chesser, Roger Chesser (Lisa) and Janet Marshall (Brad); his grandchildren, Nick Chesser, Jamie Gibney (Ben), Toni Marshall (Garrett), Haley Howenstein (Parker) and Tanner Marshall; his great grandchild Wade Gibney; his siblings, Ula Walker, Phil Chesser (Marilyn) and Jon Chesser (Janet); and his sister-in-law Fran Chesser. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home (985 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055). A memorial service was held on Sunday, May 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home (885 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055).
