He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hipsher and Virginia Hipsher (Pugh); his wife Eleanor Jane McKinley; and his brothers, Jerry Hipsher, Larry Hipsher and Floyd Hipsher.

He is survived by: his children, Wesley Hipsher (Melinda) of Dunkirk, Lisa Walden (Richard) of Dunkirk and Craig Hipsher of Dunkirk; his grandchildren, Molly Evans (Seth), Kyle Hipsher, Lindsay Hollar (Justin), Brady Hipsher (Miranda) and Kathrine Hipsher; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Owen, McKinley Evans and Carter Hollar; his siblings, Samuel Hipsher (Nancy), Jack Hipsher (Karen), Phyllis Gaver (Mike) and Darlene Brien (Donald); and his pet Sadie.

Memorial donations in Lanny's honor may be made to the Dunkirk Grace United Methodist Church.
