He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Ackerman and Agnes Ackerman (Crowl); his wife Mary E. Ackerman (Cayton); his siblings, Kay Proctor, JoAnne Ackerman, Walter, Daniel and William Ackerman; and his great grandchild Joey.
He is survived by: his children, Bob Ackerman Jr. (Amanda) of Waynesburg, Rebecca Flint (Bob) of Diamond and Andy Ackerman of Louisville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Cemetery.
