She was predeceased by : her parents, John Francis Smith and Margery D. Pickard Smith Wolf; her stepson Larry B. Parson; and her siblings, Patricia Anderson, Becky Bebout, Margery "Sue" Jones and Frank Charles "Chuck" Smith.

She is survived by : her husband Brent Parson; her daughter Mindy Tompkins of Columbus, Ohio; her grandchildren, Mark Springer of Chester, Virginia., Marky Tompkins, Trivele Tompkins, Brice Springer and Chase Springer; and her great grandchildren, Kiron Tompkins and Marley Kay Tompkins.
