He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Smith (Kittle); his children, Dennis Smith (Alicia) and Connie Maltarich (William); his grandchildren, Benjamin Smith (Amber Baez), Andrea Maltarich, Blaire Brefeld (Nick) and Carly Maltarich; his great grandchildren, Alec Brefeld, Parks Brefeld and Liam Burns; and his sisters, Betty Birch and Sylvia George (James).
