He was predeceased by: his son Kenneth Erwin; his parents, Paul Erwin and Mary Zeigler (Williams); his stepfather Lloyd Zeigler; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Sonntog, Eugene Beal and Sandy DeBacco.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Erwin (Griffith); his children, Steve Erwin (Susan) and Tracy Wilson (Steven); his siblings, Randy Sonntog, Jeff Sonntog, Shirley Beal and Linda DeBacco; and his daughter-in-law Julie Erwin. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren.
