She is survived by : her son James Shafer Sr. (Roberta) of Caledonia; her grandsons, Matthew Allen Shafer of Bucyrus and James Allen Shafer, Jr. (Caitlin) of Marion; her great grandchildren, Kelly Shafer, Piper Shafer, Theodore Shafer and Presley Shafer; her sister Judith Trella (David) of New Brighton, PA; and her sister-in-law Sherry Bishop.
