He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Burns and Patricia George Burns; and his sister Susan Burns-Fenske. He is survived by: his wife Becky Lynn Riley Burns; his children, Robert "Scooter" W. Burns of Scottsdale, AZ and Margaret "Liz" Burns-Parson (Chad) of Missoula, MT; and his siblings, Robert Burns, Kathy Dyke (Lee) and Sally Burns (Tom Moody). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
