He was predeceased by : his parents, Rosario Scalzo and Grace Scalzo (Casillo); and his siblings, George, Mike, Joel Scalzo, Angeline Ostapowicz, Sara Griswald, Kate Bell, Margaret Kimmell and Ruth Joki.
He is survived by : his children, Gary T. Scalzo Jr. (Tonja) and Joelle E. Scalzo; his grandson Zachary Scalzo (Maya); his great grandchild Lilah Eloise Scalzo; and his sister Mary Colella. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve in Gary's name.
