He was predeceased by : his parents, Anthony Pero and Harriet Pero; and his pets, Riley, Gracie, Hobo and Medic.

He is survived by : his wife Helen Pero; his son Anthony F. Pero; and his siblings, Kathy Mayher (Mike), David Pero and Joe Pero. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
