He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Montgomery and Helen Montgomery (Miller); his wife Karen Lynn Montgomery (Meadors); his daughter Stacy Lee Ferguson; and his brother Martin Willard Montgomery.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Lynn Montgomery (Mike), Gene Douglas Montgomery (Debbie), Althea Jo Montgomery (Eddy Wong) and Mason Montgomery. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
