He was predeceased by: his parents, Nash Lindley and Edith Lindley (Waltz); his daughter-in-law Kim Lindley; his sisters-in-law, Annette Lindley, Martha Smith and Phyllis Zarse; and his nephew Blake Lindley.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Lindley of Eaton; his children, Doug Lindley, Susan Lindley Kerkhove, Brenda Paget (Gary) and Matt Lindley (Liz); his grandchildren, Kate, Kelsey, Casey, Nash, Nick, Jack, Madeline, Abby, Sam and William; his great grandchildren, Rooney, Margot, Sylvie, Quinn and Theo; his brother Jerry Lindley; and his brother-in-law Walter "Sonny" Smith Jr..
