He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred L. Weir and Barbara J. Weir (Kelly); and his brothers, Kent and David Weir. He is survived by: his wife Karen Weir (Rosenberger); his children, Monica Schuck (Raymond), Ryan Weir, Melanie Cervantes (Israel), Teresa Schwab (Yancy) and Scott Watterson (Melanie); his sisters, Beth Jerdon, Kim Petry (Scott), Kelly Weir and Julie Upchurch (Tracey); and his pet Macy. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
