It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence H. Hempel of Eaton, Ohio, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick R. Hempel and Lavelle Ethel Hempel (Gray); his wife Shirley Hempel; and his daughters, Judy and Janette.

He is survived by: his sons, David and Mark Lewis; and his grandchildren, Vincent, Samuel and Rachel Lewis.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Humane Society of Preble County.
