He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Barnhart and Pearl Barnhart (Anspach); his daughter Amanda Barnhart; his son-in-law Greg Bodnaruik; his siblings, Melvin, Russell, Norman Barnhart, Evelyn Long (Ed), Vera Long (Glen) and Judy Stone; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Eldridge, Ellen Barnhart and Patty Barnhart.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia Barnhart; his daughters, Christine Maggard (Jeff), Cheri Bodnaruik and Amy Daugherty (David); his grandchildren, Curtis Maggard (Christina), Amber Byrd (Cody), Jessica Franklin (Eric), Tomara Bodnaruik and Adeline Bodnariuk; his siblings, Eldon Barnhart (Linda) and Lois Eldridge; and his brother-in-law Glenn Stone. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
