She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wesley and Louisa Daugherty (Clark); her husband William Leon Smith; and her brothers, Eugene and Volney Daugherty.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Ridge, Asa, Tripp and Mack; her great grandchild Carlee; her children, Kathi Petelle (Carl) of West Alexandria and Daniel Smith (Lori Brailey) of Muncie, IN; her grandchildren, Lindsay Watson (Scott) of Eaton and Chris Petelle (Haylee) of Eaton; and her great grandchildren, Mateo Watson, Ridge, Asa, Tripp and Mack Petelle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gard Funeral Home - Eaton (226 W Main St, Eaton, OH 45320). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ames Chapel Cemetery (Paoli, IN 47454).
