It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl F. Vollmer of Edgerton, Ohio, who passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian Vollmer and Dorothy Vollmer (Manon); his wife Janet Vollmer; his daughter Tammy Sumner; and his brothers, Bob Vollmer, Eugene "Gene" Vollmer and Gerald "Mick" Vollmer.
He is survived by: his children, Clair Vollmer of Edgerton and Laurie Grube (Ryan) of Tipp City, Ohio; his son-in-law Shane Sumner of West Unity, Ohio; his grandchildren, Alyssa Smith (TJ), Abbey Peters (Matt), Casey Massie (Nathan), Tanner Vollmer (Jazmin), Paige Vollmer, Brooke Fields (Dustin), Katie Gooslin (Mike), Emma Lehman and Jacob Grube; and his sisters-in-law, Brenda Goller of Chino Hills and Donna Vollmer of Edgerton, Ohio.. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
