She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Andrew DeCamp and Vera Joyce DeCamp (Yearling); and her brother Gary Decamp. She is survived by: her husband Ambrose "Moe" Herman; her sons, Kurt Herman (Shelly) and Jamie Herman (Libby); and her grandchildren, Kolton, Kortney, Aspen and Margaret.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Mary School in Edgerton, Ohio—a place that held special meaning to Mary and her family.
