She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Caldwell and Sally M. Caldwell (McRutherford); her husband Dwight Gilbert, Sr.; her son Dwight Gilbert, Jr.; and her siblings, Mary Burgett (Ken), Betty Dickens (Steve), Phyllis Henry, Jerry Caldwell (Terry) and Robert Caldwell.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Simmons (John) of Bryan and Steve Gilbert of New Castle, Indiana; her grandchildren, Beth Sammons (Mark), Ashley Gilbert, Auston Simmons, Mindy Gilbert, Jamee Gilbert Johnson and Bradley Gilbert; her siblings, Ruth Graham and Steve Caldwell (Mary Jo); and her brother-in-law Paul Henry. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
