He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Long of Edon; his sons, Alan VanDeVoorde (Pam) of South Bend, IN, Lyle VanDeVoorde (Mary) of Montpelier and Neal VanDeVoorde (Tracy) of Edon; his grandchildren, Zachary VanDeVoorde, Blake VanDeVoorde (Kayla), Riley VanDeVoorde (Alli), Bree VanDeVoorde, Lynsi Yagelski (Andrew), Jessica Gaff (Drew), Tori Hibbard and Christine Hurst (Scott); his great grandchildren, Audrey, Berkley, Atticus, Gene, Landon, Connor, Payton, Porter, Knox, Colette and Lakyn; and his siblings, Carol VanDeVoorde and Ray VanDeVoorde.

Memorial contributions are requested to the activity fund at Parkview Care Center or the Edon Church of Christ.
