He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald J. Long and Ethel M. Long (Goshorn); and his brother-in-law Ted Jewell. He is survived by: his wife D. Carol Burd; his children, Michael Long (Susan) of Edon, Steven Long (Terri) of Edon and Barbara Rowe (Bart) of Edgerton; and his siblings, Carolyn VanDeVoorde (James) of Edon, Esther Jewell of Edon, Patricia Tingley (Melvin) of Edon and Gary Long (Cheryl) of Edon.
