He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Thorne and Anna White Thorne; and his siblings, John C. Thorne and Joanne Thorne Reiley of Youngstown. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen A. Lawrence; his children, Robert W. Thorne II (Margo), Joseph L. Thorne and Marlene E. Thorne Orr (Christopher); his grandchildren, Oliver, Elliott and Emery Thorne; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Gennetti Thorne. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (50 Rosemont Rd, North Jackson, OH 44451).
