He was predeceased by: his parents, George Erick and Marian Erick (Taube). He is survived by: his wife Janel Erick; his daughters, Ashley Avellaneda (Nicholas) and Elizabeth Steimel (Daniel); his granddaughters, Elise and Evelyn; and his siblings, Michael Erick and Linda Martin.

Gary loved target shooting, hunting; he never let having Parkinson's keep him from what he enjoyed.
