Bertha (Stokes) Henderson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bertha (Stokes) Henderson of Elyria, Ohio, born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Kelly Stokes and Ethel Mae Stokes; her stepmother Tennie Mae Stokes; her husband Wallace Henderson; and her siblings, Isiah, Alec Stokes, Arthur Thomas, Rosie Mae Stokes, Bernice Liner, Pearline Henderson, Savannah Young and Elizabeth Owten.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth (Terri), Andrew, Sharon and Lynne; her grandson Triston (Latoya); her great grandchildren, Samantha and John; and her sister-in-law DeeEtta Henderson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Good Shephard Baptist Church (244 9th St, Elyria, OH 44035). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Church (244 9th St, Elyria, OH 44035).
