She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Carter and Sheila Carter (Shannon); her sisters, Gwendolyn Carter, Phyllis Roseboro and Jacqueline Preston; and her nephew Aundre Jackson.

She is survived by: her children, Marie Patterson (Jeffrey) of Elyria, OH and Anthony "Tone" Patterson (Carrie) of Elyria, OH; her grandchildren, Ka'Von, Xyon, Saamiya, Kaliya, Tatyana, Sincere, Anthony Jr. and Janiya; and her siblings, Regina Shelton of Elyria, OH, Laura Jackson of Cleveland, OH, Andrea Patterson of Lorain, OH and Eugene Carter Jr. (Monica) of Jacksonville, AK.

Viewing will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the God's Kingdom (423 Washington Ave, Lorain, OH 44052). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
