It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlyn Beal of Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on March 22, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Mike Beal; her parents, Ruth Renkel and Carl A. Renkel; her stepmother Allie Hudson; her brother Donald C. Renkel, Sr.; and her stepsister Deborah Baldwin.
She is survived by: her children, Shelley Smith of Silver Springs, FL, Jim Beal (Lu) of Birmingham, Kim Resar of Elyria, Kelley Knarr (Scott) of Wellington, Jeff Beal (late Denise) of Elyria and Jill Beal of Lorain; and her siblings, Tim Renkel (Tena) of Cumming, GA and Angela Mills (John). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
