With sadness, we share the passing of David Vereen (Elyria, Ohio). David, born on February 22, 1955, passed away on October 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Elizabeth Vereen-Jones and Aaron Cleveland Vereen; bonus father: Ulysses Jones; former wife: Bonita Vereen-Brooks; daughters: Candace Vereen-Rodriguez, Alicia Vereen, Bonita Vereen-Shumpert (Darrell), and Pamela Mobley; siblings: Priscilla Bowden (Cecil), Leonard Vereen, Ophelia Robertson (Keith), Euphine Armes, Donald Vereen, Eric Jones (Jennifer), Alonzo Vereen, and William Vereen; grandchildren: Russell Webster; great-grandchild: Davier Webster; adopted children: Walter Smallwood; spiritual brother and friend: Chico Fernandez Baldwin; and 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, beloved adopted sons and daughters, nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Original Glorious Apostolic Church (995 Foster Ave, Elyria, OH 44035). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
