It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Nelson (Elyria, Ohio), born in Henning, Tennessee, who passed away on November 8, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Flagg and Irene Flagg; and her siblings, Harry Blankenship, James Blankenship, Robert Flagg Jr., Lizzie Mae Ellis, Monteen Taylor, Ella Tyus, Kate Lewis and Florine Douglas.
She is survived by: her sons, Henry Louis (Cleola), Melvin Otis (Audrey) of Elyria, Ohio, Ray Van (Josephine) of Detroit, MI and Jerry Lee Nelson of Cleveland, Ohio; her foster son Frank Finch (Sherry) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Melvin (Angie), Carmen, Kenneth Catrina (Gabrielle), Kim, Traci, JaMel and Marcus (Amber); and her sister Rosie Flagg-Boyd. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
