He was predeceased by: his wife Jean; his parents, Charles Smith and Nettie Smith; his siblings, Charles Smith, Jr., William "Bill" Smith, Deloris Pirosek, Virginia Youngker and Esther Millich; and his stepdaughter Becky.
He is survived by: his children, Bernadette "Lee" Johnston of Baden, PA and Dewayne Smith of Rochester, PA; his stepdaughter Cindy of Elyria; and his siblings, Leroy Smith (Betty) and Judy Vanyo (Joe) of Monaca, PA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
