Geraldine H. Barker Obituary
Geraldine H. Barker (nee Shick), 68 of Elyria passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at St. John Medical Center, Westlake surrounded by her family. She was born on February 20, 1957, in Lorain, Ohio to Leroy and Alda Shick (nee Carson).
Geraldine loved spending time with her family, which was the greatest joy in her life. There was never a dull moment when Geraldine was around. She was like an adult child that didn't want to grow up.
Geraldine is survived by her husband Everett Barker; brother Robert (Faith) Fye of Lorain; sisters, Rose Fye of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Judy Coburn, and Shirley Cuevas both of Lorain, and Mary (Bobby) Shick of Brunswick, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine is preceded in death by her brothers Alvin Shick, Norman Fye, and Roger Fye; sisters, Sandy Woods, Sally French and Sue Sturgeon as well as brother in laws Buddy Sturgeon, Bill Coburn and Angelo Cuevas and a niece and two nephews.
Geraldine's family will receive friends at Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Monday, August 18th, 2025, from 9 until a 11 AM Celebration of Life. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
