She was predeceased by: her mother Mary L. Green; her siblings, Shelia Carter (Eugene), Silas Shannon Jr. and Joseph Shannon; her grandson Lucius Johnson; Silas Shannon Sr. and Isom Green.

She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Johnson, Susan Smith (Marvin), Marsha Shumate (Eugene), Kimberly Shannon, Lisa Stringer (Levy), Michael Shannon, Silas Henry, Gary Shannon (Zuma), Loren "Butch" Jackson (Dorothy) and Shearo Henry; and her brothers, Clay Shannon and Thurman Shannon.
